Learn to Drive
Before you start your driving lessons you need to have a Provisional Driving License. So, if you don’t have then you will need to apply for one from the DVLA. You can obtain a provisional licence application from your local Post Office.
Once you have obtained your Provisional Driving licence, you can start your driving lessons straight way. You must pass your theory test before you take your driving practical test. You should book your theory test a few weeks in advance in order to prepare for the test. A pass certificate will be issued on the same day. A normal waiting time for the driving practical test is 12 – 16 weeks.
